The local village of Allerford that is within easy walking distance has a small shop and post office. There is also a museum and tea room.

Porlock (a five minute drive or twenty minute walk away) has two grocery stores, post office, butchers, cheese shop, several antique shops and many pubs, restaurants and tea rooms.

Minehead (a ten minute drive) has several large supermarkets and a full range of shopping facilities.
