Walking Exmoor
Walkers have a fantastic choice and variety of walks. With over 600 miles of rights of way, you are spoilt for choice; coastal paths, walks across wild open moorland, strolls along hidden valley bottoms, alongside burbling streams and rushing rivers, or imagine yourself walking back in history by exploring the country of Lorna Doone. Exmoor National Park host a good set of links to some of the longer walking routes in the area. More of the local walks are on leaflets that can be collected from any tourist information centre along with any Ordnance Survey maps you may require. For those who still wish to explore the country side but are not as mobile or if you just want an easy stroll there are several Easy Access Paths in the area specifically designed for those with limited mobility, wheelchair users and strollers. |
